Besides the main topic, we also uncover a different regulation of immunity in roots vs leaves:

New preprint for the extension of our prior research. Briefly, in angiosperms nucellus elimination shifted to support endosperm growth. Inhibiting pectin degradation affects nucellus development, suggesting a link between cell wall modification and seed evolution.
Exciting news! Our work "Quantification of absolute labeling efficiency at the single-protein level" is out in @NatureMethods. Great effort led by Joschka Hellmeier and Sebastian Strauss, molecular-resolution quantification of labeling efficiency.

A new climate model that incorporates genetic information from microbes has emerged to help scientists better understand how carbon supplied by plant roots can be stored and preserved 🦠👨🔬

I have definitely known I was using "YFP", but not which variant before! Helpful to know because you can learn if your protein forms weak dimers, folding time, etc., which might affect your expt.
Some plant seeds perceive a fire smoke to trigger germination via KAI2 receptor. Yet, the endogenous ligands of KAI2 remained unknown. Now, new report finds that KAI2 mediate volatile communication and plant fitness! Exciting🥰 https://t.co/JEkJJeMJOj
@isabelpochet Have a look at the "Plants and Python" Teaching Tool! I worked through all the exercises and got a good basic understanding of how Python works. Bonus is that it uses plant examples 💚
