Cate Blanchett should have 3 Oscars on her mantel as we speak- not 2. Part of the reason I say this is because it’s clear to me now more than ever that Tár is the performance of her career. She won an Oscar for Blue Jasmine & The Aviator but this is her magnum opus…so far.
These would look good in Glasgow as a modern interpretation of the tenement. I think we can use council owned land in a more imaginative way to address viability and bring more beauty back into housing
Dark (2017–2020) works because it treats time as structure rather than gimmick, every loop set up early and paid off later, and by the end it all closes with such precision it feels inevitable, a near perfect show.
