Online today in the Journal of Natural Products! We used computational and statistical analysis tools to study alternative structures for chartellamides A and B resulting in the proposed structure revision of both isolates. https://t.co/L4f1mLJVx2

[Herzon Lab @HerzonLab]

Check out our recent study in @J_A_C_S. We developed a divergent synthetic platform enabling the total synthesis of (+)-pleuromutilin and access to >30 novel core-modified analogs with potential to target drug-resistant bacteria. https://t.co/5egZwcEm4P

It's a busy week in the Herzon Lab as we celebrate another successful Ph.D. defense, this time by Dr. Alexandria Palazzo! Check out some of her recent work here: https://t.co/KqY0DqM480

[Herzon Lab @HerzonLab]

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Vaani Gupta for her successful PhD defense! She has worked on a number of projects, including our recent synthesis and biological evaluation of (–)-gukulenin A!

Nice story about our GBM research by Yale Student Isabella Backman. There are few treatment options for these patients, and none are curative. We are rooting for Merck and Company and hope they'll be able to get these drugs into the clinic soon!

Researchers at @Yale, including Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholars Seth Herzon (@HerzonLab) and Jason Crawford, "have synthesized a complex, potentially cancer-fighting molecule found in sea sponges discovered off the coast of South Korea."

Out now in Science: Three-component assembly and structure–function relationships of (–)-gukulenin A, as a first release research article.

Congrats to the team! (1/4)

We had many failed strategies and could have walked away from the project a half dozen times.

We could not be more proud of the team on this. (3/4)

[Martin Tomanik @MartinTomanik]

Out today in @J_A_C_S is the first synthesis from our group!! We report a convergent and stereoselective total synthesis of the nominal structure of Talaromyolide D. Huge congrats to Bo and Alex! @nyuchemistry @TotalSynthesis

[Yulab @YulabJin]

Absolutely beautiful !@MartinTomanik your team beats everyone in using these two bifunctional pyridone ligands for CH hydroxylation. The sp2 CH sp3 coupling with epoxide by MPAA ligand will also inspire more use of such sp2 Sp3 coupling. congrats ! @HerzonLab you trained him well

The total synthesis of chartelline C!

Accomplished in a small number of transformations from material intercepted en route to the securamines. Each step was informed by the unique topology and unconventional reactivity of these isolates 🥳🙌
