@DarnellDawg706@RaminNasibov It will require radiators with a large surface area and recirculating coolant. It's only feasible because Starship will dramatically decrease the cost per kg to orbit.
@AshleyDCan He'd be a lot more believable if he didn't act so incredulous. A better response would have been "although we did launch a scam meme coin in the past from which we made $1.4B in profit, this time we're actually not involved."
My assumption is we'll get the v15 Robotaxi software in our own cars prior to any regulatory approval and it will still be labeled as level 2 and require supervision even though it's not needed. Regulatory approval is going to be a messy patchwork process since it will need to happen at the state and potentially city level. I think the way it will eventually work is FSD will toggle to level 4 if you're in a geofenced area where it's approved and flip back to level 2 when you leave it. At least until there's a federal regulation that overrides the states.
As someone who's followed their progress closely for close to a decade, I promise you it's a strategic decision. They don't agree with the metric methodology, so they're not going to play the game. The bet is that overwhelming evidence of lives saved will win in the end. Case in point:

I was on the tail end of a 500 mile drive back from Omaha yesterday with my 77 year old dad and we nearly had a very serious accident, possibly deadly for the other driver. Look at this older Toyota Corolla blow this light at 60mph more than 3 seconds after it turns red. If it was me driving, because I could not see the Corolla as it was occluded by the stopped cars, we would have had a head on collision or I'm mid-turn and he would have impacted my dad's side of my @cybertruck. Thankfully @tesla FSD was doing the driving and it has superhuman reaction to brake pedal application time (aka PRT = perception response time) of about 0.25s while very good human is 0.8-0.9s or average human is 1.5-2.5s. This is life saving technology and it may have saved one yesterday.
Thanks to @aelluswamy, @elonmusk, and the whole team behind this.

@spotted_model@Tesla_702 They can be sold here, but there's a 100% tariff, so they're not going to bother trying to sell direct to consumers. Waymo is willing to pay $70K for a $35K car. Then they're paying probably another $20-25K to add the sensor suite.
@Cyber_Trailer That's a great channel. They proceeded to drag and dyno test the Charger EV after they bought it and decided it was the worst car you can currently buy. Then they bought a used model S Plaid and were blown away by its performance.

There's an innate desire within many of us to temporarily distort our reality to bring relief from the burdens of day to day existence. Many of us also find that meditation can provide the same relief by revealing reality's true nature and breaking down the illusion of the self. I highly recommend trying meditation for anyone who hasn't. It's not a quick fix, but it's not difficult either.
@spotted_model Yeah, but I think the switch to horizontal makes sense if you assume unsupervised FSD is coming in the not too distant future and the driver's going to be watching videos.
@spotted_model I don't know, but I guess advertising on the sides of trucks traversing rural routes would be a cheap way to reach a lot of the potential customer base.
