I fucking love Funeral Doom and strongly feel it's a genre that doesn't get the attention it deserves. So I made a chart of 50 releases that any fan of extreme metal should check out. Kept it to one release per band, in a sort of ascending order.
@heysharpshooter Even for cheesy ass power metal Sabaton are clear larpers. Their only concern is their fake ass theatrics, and their christian theming. Quality songwriting doesn't matter. There's plenty of great European power metal bands. Sabaton aren't one of them.
Sallow Moth ‘Hydrophilous Brood’ out now on Willowtip Records.
Allen and I are really proud of it. I wrote it last summer. Took time away from it and sat on it through the release of Mossbane Lantern. Deliberated on a live drummer, guest appearances, etc. And here we are now.
@PepiticoCOBHC Defeated Sanity is probably my favorite Bdm band, very technical and methodical. Check out Passages Into Deformity, The Sanguinary Impetus, and Disposal of the Dead // Dharmata. Dharmata isn't brutal death, more 90s inspired prog death, and Disposal is more strict bdm, less tech.
An Interesting four band split that kinda exemplifies my issues with splits, where one band can kinda just stink it up and ruin a lot of what this could have going for it.
