छत्तीसगढ़ के सूरजपुर जिले के धरमपुर गांव में कोयला खदान के लिए भूमि अधिग्रहण को लेकर ग्रामीणों और पुलिस के बीच हिंसक झड़प हुई। भूमि अधिग्रहण की प्रक्रिया पूरी कराने के लिए सुबह भारी पुलिस बल गांव पहुंचा था। इसके बाद स्थिति बिगड़ गई और टकराव में डीएसपी सहित 24 से अधिक पुलिसकर्मी घायल हुए। बताया जा रहा है कि कई ग्रामीण भी घायल हुए हैं।
यह घटना कई गंभीर सवाल खड़े करती है। क्या विकास परियोजनाओं के नाम पर स्थानीय लोगों की सहमति और अधिकारों की पर्याप्त अनदेखी की जा रही है? क्या भूमि अधिग्रहण से पहले ग्रामीणों की आपत्तियों और मांगों को गंभीरता से सुना गया? क्या सरकार और परियोजना से जुड़ी कंपनी ने संवाद और पुनर्वास के सभी प्रयास पूरे किए थे?
