A few ways to have a normal productive household
1. Get your wife off birth control
2. Chuck your phone into a nearby lake every so often
3. Stop being gay by sending your wife to a corporate job everyday
4. Start a business so you can be your own HR Department (well looky there, HR says I can bring my kids to work)
5. Teach your kids useful skills instead of how to conjugate transgender pronouns and apologize for being white
6. Protect your family from fragmentation ( Learn more with our new book - The Productive Household)
A pastoral word on TRT and bodily fitness that I think is important to give:
For decades at least, the church has neglected a proper doctrine of the body. Fat pastors have led fat churches—joking about it rather than correcting it.
Sin has been tolerated on this front far and wide—and we are now seeing a needed and proper correction in the other direction.
This is good. I'm very pleased to see it. Men are correcting their hormonal issues, losing fat, lifting weights, getting strong, and growing in the virtues of discipline and self-control.
But let me point out one temptation that you need to be aware of along the way. It looks like this:
A man realizes change is needed. He repents of his sloth, gains self-mastery, loses weight, gets the bloodwork done, gets on TRT, gains muscle, and corrects about 15 different health problems. He feels wonderful. Strong. Healthy. Things that were broken (or breaking) come back into function. He gains confidence, dresses better, starts killing it at work with new vigor and energy. Praise God!
But along the way, maybe his wife lags behind him. Maybe she's overweight. Maybe his 40–60 year old body starts to feel more like a 20–30 year old body again. Maybe...
Do you see where I'm going? How easy for him to permit himself to fall into the temptations of lust, infidelity, discontentment, and all the rest.
Be sure to set a guard against these things. Don't make huge strides in one area of virtue and health only to fall into one of Satan's oldest traps.
The entire manufacturing industry is basically, "Needed: highly skilled worker for (X), must already be certified with 3-5 years experience in (X, Y, Z). Must own tools. No training will be provided. 10-20 hours mandatory OT per week. Pays less than entry level McDonald's"
