Got my council tax bill for the year. £2,952.34 for a band E or more than 10% of a pre-tax min wage persons salary.

But wait if I lived in Westminster that would be £1,243.22. Which is less than half, but I guess the house price is 10x more.

We need to reform council tax!

We need to tax to redistribute wealth that will make the system fairer! Lots of wealth should belong to the people not individuals.

@PJTheEconomist How much would we raise by merging national insurance and income tax. Essentially making working age pensioners pay the tax? It would also make it simpler for the avg tax payer….
