Did you all know @secstatewa Steve Hobbs is a Dungeons and Dragons/Baldur’s Gate fan? He plays an evocation wizard.

Just interviewed Hobbs at this booth where his office is trying to get video game players and other young people registered to vote.

This is one of the things that stands out when you report on incidents like this: Over and over, I saw students- kids - scrambling to find their friends after the last bell, embracing with tears rolling down, telling their group, through a cracking voice, to walk with them home.

We’ve just learned from SPD someone parked their car on a slight hill, got out, it rolled backward about 75 yards, and hit a 12 year old girl on recess.

The driver is being evaluated for potential impairment, which police say is standard practice.

Tragic.

We just saw a woman collapse, crying. Police helped her up and walked her past the tape, into the school. Another man got here, asking someone waiting outside, “where is he?”
