"i don't like doing marketing, it is hard and i prefer to ship features"
that's what my brain is telling me,
but I'm re-wiring it by congratulating myself,
to generate a dopamine hit,
every time i'm doing a tiktok post, writing a script or recording a video,
the goal: to achieve more actions like that.
How many hours have you put in your business to generate your first 1k$ ?
I'm currently at 600hours and I have made 6$ so far 😱
But the overnight success is coming...
for mobile app founder, here's an interesting stats:
I used to run 4-day trials
felt smart
urgent
then I saw the data
17+ days (user active) converts 70% better
i was optimizing for comfort, not revenue
(Source RevenueCAT SOSA 2026)
I poured my soul and 33 days of my life into making an app and i've earned 5€ so far
I'm laughing so hard (and dying) when i see this kind of videos on youtube
"My app made 35k/month (built in 3hours)"
of course i'm going to click on it 🤣
I built a fully functionnal app
put it on the store
fixed bugs
and now instead of doing distribution,
i am obessed with building another one,
what's wrong with me ?
It has been more than a month that i'm building my apps and not selling my time anymore,
here's 3 lessons that i learned so far
- Don't take people for their words (self criticisism is a valuable skill)
- If it's hard, you taking a path that not many people are willing to take
- You are not burnt out because of the amount of work but the nature of it
February has been an intensive month
I'm building my third app, and here's the simple lesson I learned from the first two:
Build a painkiller, not a vitamin
You’re going to be blown away by this:
Ask your AI to write your psychological profile
Not zodiac stuff
A real breakdown based on how you think, what you build, what you obsess over
It’s weirdly accurate
And slightly uncomfortable
Try it
Planning your entire week is a trap
I wasted 3 hours every Sunday
Followed maybe 40% of it
Felt guilty the rest of the time
Now I plan 3 things per day max
Deliver more. Stress less
Day 2 of my Solopreneur journey
I'm waiting for the approval of my chrome extension https://t.co/mbZYnAeGQK and i have generated assets for the store page with my other tool named https://t.co/E79YVs8lQl
I'm still trying to figure how to drive traffic and looking on reddit to find my icp and engaging on subreddit
You're building something
Some days are brutal
But what's the ONE thing that makes you feel alive in this journey ?
The moment that reminds you why you started
marketing isn't hard, i just don't want to do it
so i ship another feature instead of finding my icp
add one more thing instead of making connections
code instead of posting
then wonder why i have 6 users after 4 months
any tips to embrace marketing ?
Day 1 of building in public
Ok, this video was not planned, when i saw @robj3d3 and @CodeWizard i got inspired and thought, why not me ?
why are they able to share their journey in video and not me ?
so i grabbed my camera and made my first recording and share it with you
i'm going to document my journey from here on out
(please don't mind my accent)
Everyone shares the what when entrepreneurs win
I want the who
Who inspired them ?
What shaped their thinking ?
Which failures taught them most ?
That's the story worth telling.
