Coaches often use these words interchangeably but they are not the same.
Rather tensigriouis aspects that interact concurrently that limit or augment circumstantial behaviors/choices.
And above all time in system is the most meaningless.
@mackinprof With the segmental analysis is based off of the individuals skeletal anatomy. So if someone saw a doubling in lower body lean mass post intensive squatting that was double baseline how would that not be considered "functional?"
@mackinprof DXA performs segmental analysis though?
As well as differentiates btw "lean" & "fat free" BMD densitometry. The former being skeletal tissue w/ the combined "total lean mass" error +/-0.68lb
The resistance training used in the study is dubious/subject training-age unaccounted
@kurmakayev@craigzLiszt@buccocapital Please elucidate me as to which statement was a mistruth as I can cite my sources for you if you'd like. There's no reason talking further unless you would like to keep looking like a fool in a fight you picked ๐คฃ
@kurmakayev@craigzLiszt@buccocapital Validate this. I've refuted every dumbfuck self-aggrandizing fallacy you've presented within the context that you outlined & remained on topic by providing verifiable facts.
@kurmakayev@craigzLiszt@buccocapital No it doesn't. Nor a good debater/ negotiator either. Personal attacks & appeals to authority are poor rebuttals when you don't like the truth you're faced with.
@Toohey_sp@WSWayland And to be clear I'm not advocating for the use of socials in place of experiential learning in anyway. I'm only presenting a scenario in which an aspiring coach that may not yet be able to have any say in a program could leverage what they do have available to them now as to grow
@Toohey_sp@WSWayland I agree with the sentiment of that but being forced to rationalize your own ideas & logically present that information w/ justifications as to why it is an appropriate intervention requires them to pull from their theoretical & applied knowledge more than setting up racks will
@kurmakayev@craigzLiszt@buccocapital Let's just pretend you don't have a personal bias regarding this but if the job to scale is so ubiquitously performed successfully by such a large percentage it would suggest that perhaps the job isn't very difficult to do & speaks to how arbitrary it is.
How's my math?
@Toohey_sp@WSWayland If they aren't directly & autonomously coaching/ problem solving & programming; observing a session is then no different in ROI then someone like me sans any musical prowess watching a concert pianist play Beethoven & claiming to better understand how it was composed.
@Toohey_sp@WSWayland That's why I specified the scenario in my OP. IMO critical thinking & task analysis are S&C skills- no?
What novel/emergent info do you suggest as to avoid redundancy & add substance? As nearly 99% of S&C is redundant, esp. the application thereof.
@kurmakayev@craigzLiszt@buccocapital All of the above are engineers that founded Fortune 500 companies & the most successful businessmen ever.
Like I said the engineer is necessary while the MBA is basically interchangeable & superfluous. That's something that you need to deal with.
@kurmakayev@craigzLiszt@buccocapital Sundar Pichai (Google), Henry Ford (ford), Bill Gates (Microsoft), Micheal Bloomberg (Bloomberg LP), Larry Ellison (oracle), Jeff Bezos (Amazon), Charles Koch (Koch industries), James Dyson (dyson ltd), Thomas Edison (Edison Illuminating Co).
How many do you want?! ๐คฃ
@kurmakayev@craigzLiszt@buccocapital The engineer is essential while the MBA is more akin to a parasite living off the efforts of its host. There's nothing to scale w/o R&D & the probability a product that is magnitudes of order better in its quality/innovation v. comp./market norms would thrive on merit alone
@dgx1dan @GrumpyReviewer2 Publish your work in open access journals & prove it, that is assuming your claim is legitimate & not a fabrication, otherwise why would you need a PhD/ another's validation?
@Toohey_sp@WSWayland If all they get to do is: observe, wipe sweat, setup & breakdown the room & aren't afforded the chance to program or coach hands on, an argument can be made that it may be more productive to self experiment w/ exploratory endeavors like content creation & explanations thereof
@Toohey_sp@WSWayland I'd imagine it is difficult to get hired in any S&C coaching role as a current undergrad, sans degree/ CSCS both are typically the minimum qualifications for entry lvl jobs.
Shadowing & interning could likely help but only insofar as their role or competency of said dept skills.
