@IdrisAOni1 Christianity frowns on polygamy, the state permits it. Christianity preaches tithing but the state doesn't care what you do after tax. Christianity asks for Baptism. Christians live by this "conviction" but I have never seen them bother the state. Why can't you do the same?
@sodiq1313 Now that should be the prerogative of states not the federal government. If a state doesn't want cattle settlements, then it doesn't want it. Bikes are banned in some states and allowed in others. It is their prerogative.
@A__yabo Then why does it need to be passed by the assembly? Can't Muslims decide to live by sharia law as the true Muslims they are? Imagine Pastor Kumuyi pressuring the Assembly to pass a 'born again law' that bans the use of jewelry. Does that make any sense to you?
@IdrisAOni1 A Muslim can decide not to be a Muslim at this very moment but no one can ever denounce their ancestry. A thousand years later, their DNA will still say Yoruba.
People choose religions; religions do not choose people.
@shogun_3 I once visited a village with a mixed population in Bauchi during NYSC. The stark difference between the Muslim/Christian kids was sad to see. They spoke English, could write and had confident demeanors while the Muslim kids were too timid and only spoke Hausa. Same village o
@byte_l0rd It all started under OBJ, He let sharia in Nigeria. These jihadists have been warming up for a very long time. The ideology has been there, the attack on Libya only supplied them with ammunition.
@EtimbukHR There are at least 3 full luxurious buses on the Niger bridge right now "fleeing" Abia for greener pastures in Ota, Ibadan or Lagos. Buses are leaving Mazamaza/Jibowu empty right now to go pick up even more people from Abia.
@Rexfricaola@Onyia_ImageLB@GbolahanOlanyi0 Recorded history says otherwise. They are not indigenous to Nigeria just like the Boers in South Africa. They are from Futa toro, so they can't be more Nigerian than people who are indigenous to it.
@IAmBigFred1@fgarrazo So if it attracts the best talent, why is it still always used as an example of tribalism? What's the "talent" in overwhelming an initiative meant for pregnant residents of Ondo State then relocating back to their own state after delivery
@lilyally98 So much dishonesty. In Nsukka for example, non indigenes can't ride "bikes". Imagine if they did that anywhere in the Southwest, imposing business restrictions based on tribe. But we only use the Yorubas as example, people who are actually the most accommodating..smh
@osazenoo 1.Schooling(ideally in one location, let imam and pastors be friends) and certification for preachers.
2.Triple the number of police personnel.
3.Recruit many informants, especially in rural areas. Their role would be to observe and give report biweekly.
4.Ban open grazing.
@afroarcHQ Baseless accusations. The original post spoke about the Ghanaian movie industry collapsing bcos they envied their Nig counterpart right? Take a look at Nollywood and see what has happened to the Igbo wing of it for the exact same reason. You can extrapolate that to other sectors.
