Future fun Roadster demos will include flying over the Snake River or maybe Grand Canyon and landing on its wheels and exceeding half the speed of sound
BREAKING: France erupts into chaos as up to 800,000 people take to the streets, with protesters setting fires, storming government buildings, & clashing with riot police.
BREAKING: Interest expense on US public debt rose +$144 billion YoY in FY2026, or +12%, to a record $1.36 trillion.
This marks the 6th consecutive annual increase, for a total of +$839 billion, or +161%.
For perspective, total receipts rose just +3.2% YoY, to $5.40 trillion.
In other words, interest on federal debt accounted for 25% of total US government receipts.
Meanwhile, Social Security, the largest government expense, jumped +$86 billion YoY, or +5.5%, to a record $1.67 trillion.
At this pace, interest costs will exceed Social Security as the largest government outlay by the end of 2028.
What is the long-term plan here?
As Ukraine continues to target Russian data centers for longer-range strikes and as the Iranians & houthis follow suit it’s going to become increasingly clear why Saudi was always onboard with regime change in Iran even if it puts their refining infra at risk.
You want to diversify towards the future you’ll need datacenters.
A world where Iran can drone your datacenters precludes you from receiving meaningful investment or participating in the upcoming gold rush.
Regime change at all costs.
And they have a unique opportunity to leverage a president who is selling regime-change-as-a-service for the low price of siding with us on decoupling when the time comes.
@StarAndCompass_ I'd have to imagine it's a mixture of fiscal, AI CAPEX, and inflation right? The US10Y spiked off an initial hot CPI print and cooled as US Tech sold off. IMO, fiscal is setting an elevated floor while inflation (oil) and AI CAPEX are adding to most of the near term movements.
BREAKING: Iran has announced that ANOTHER vessel has been struck in the Strait of Hormuz, once again claiming that the vessel struck a mine.
While there is yet to be… ANY evidence to support that vessels are striking mines in the Strait of Hormuz, there is plenty of evidence now to support that Iran is significantly escalating the SEVERITY of their strikes against vessels transiting Hormuz, as well as in the Gulf of Oman and Persian Gulf.
Vessels are being completely sunk, set ablaze, blacked out, or disabled.
These aren’t “minor hits” anymore… This is unsustainable.
RUSSIA SANCTIONS: The decision for President Trump to waive the Russian sanctions under the Lindsey Graham is not one that is black and white like many want to depict it.
This is a very heated topic when discussing Russia and Ukraine, but in my view, two things are true:
- Americans are getting absolutely CRUSHED by rising prices at home, and prices at the pump. Imposing more sanctions on Russia that would add even more fragility and instability to the global economy at a time when ALL SIGNS point to far more escalation to come in the next few months in the Middle East is pretty damn stupid.
- This is actively putting money into the pocket of RUSSIA that WILL be used to kill Ukrainians in a war that I unequivocally view as one where there is a “good guy” and “bad guy”. Ukraine has the right to defend their homeland from a foreign aggressor.
Unfortunately, I DO think this was the RIGHT decision from President Trump… in the context that it is a HORRIBLE and REPREHENSIBLE action that will be paid in human lives.
These are the shit decisions you have to make when you make choices that lead to truly HISTORIC failures like the Iran War.
You retards are wondering if your favorite neolab is going to file for bankruptcy, meanwhile my book is over here capitalizing on the fact that Moore’s law is dead, which means that the neochuds are stuck buying more chips for more compute forever.
Sure I might get gaped in the short term because your fav neo overleveraged on debt and had to take austerity measures, but whoever scrapes their carcass off the pavement will still be stuck buying more chips for more compute. Forever.
