@Steve_Leacock@Eurostar After waiting an hour on the phone - call centre ask us to claim through travel insurance, fee applies if wish to change to a later date. Without saying, refund is not an option. We saw how @Eurostar response to Paris strike, why not #Covid_19?
Great panel discussion at #DesigningHealth last night about challenges and opportunities in design in healthcare system -@katemburn said ‘Patience and using the breadth of design tool and approach to help healthcare system build empathy’ are key for designers
Held a #designsprint to harness insights and getting the content, nurse, digital and fundraise 🧠brains together! 💛Love seeing the ideas put together by our multidisciplinary team. #diversitymatters
Thoughts on 'Companionship 2.0' by @OttlaArrigoni: how we pivoted from a symptom tracking concept to digital companionship when working with people living with #cancer, and implications for the future of support #servicedesign#AI#health#prototyping https://t.co/IEzP9xhKt3

Good design learns from anthropology
Good design learns from social work
Good design learns from community organizing
‘Not everyone understands why we should do user research or how it’s done.’ - this is the same in charities, as much as it is in government. https://t.co/CFOQAjXHbV
#participatoryfutures putting diversity of experience and viewpoints at the centre of shaping sustainable and resilient future. Question: how do we transform #futurethinking to #futuredoing? 🧐
We're proud to publish @Zo_Pro's article 'De-Privileging the Future' in our journal. It explores how #futuresthinking's roots are steeped in privilege, and discusses ways to make thinking about the future more accessible. #participatoryfutures https://t.co/EIRuSBsNQN
Did you attend our 'Design Like There’s a Climate Crisis' event?

Hi @idean_UK thanks for putting on the the diversity of engagement event yesterday such an important topic! HOWEVER, I want to bring something to your attention and to those at the event. I’m not th D&I police, but this really really irked me. #longthread
Improving efficiency would always involve maintaining and indeed expanding production to satisfy growing demand. This is reflected in the so-called "Jevons paradox"....increasing energy efficiency also led to higher demand. https://t.co/WNtUCzIJnX
@viainnov8@Plexalcity Thank u for the keynote speech! Those couple of slides really captured the principles that designers need to look out for in the futue. Definitely interested in collaboration - How would you like to go about with it? I’m happy to meet when you’re in London :)
Designing future consider the complexity of:
Populism- over simplify solution is attractive, but dangerous
+
Pre-futurism- we need ‘now’ to be more thoughtful about the decision of the future.
+
Pragmatism - we have to be pragmatic with the choices we made.
