Our latest work is out now in @CellGenomics. @HillaryLayden and team use the dTAG system and deep genomic analysis to determine how wild-type and mutant FOXO1 control transcription in DLBCL. https://t.co/5Jn0Fy3h9g
Congrats to Anna and Scott for bringing home the Frank Chytil Travel Award and the Richard Armstrong Mentoring Award from yesterday's @VandyBiochem Departmental Award reception!
@FengXiao1988 @CellGenomics@HillaryLayden We haven’t tested dTAG-13 in culture so we can’t comment on that. For us dTAG-v1 (targets VHL) is more effective than dTAG-47 (targets CRBN) at degrading most of the proteins we have tagged. So we would recommend v1 out of the two but results will vary based on target.

I'm excited to announce that I'm defending on February 14th at 1 pm. See what I've uncovered about how mutations in FOXO1 contribute to B-cell lymphomas! Zoom link available; message me.
We spent more time than we'd like to admit staring at adapter sequences, but we've put together a protocol for dual-indexed PRO-seq library prep. Based off of the TRUseq Small RNA kit, the protocol can be easily adapted for other small RNA applications. https://t.co/2enKfRpTkR
Has anyone updated their PRO-seq/GRO-seq adapters/sequencing primers to include dual indices for better results on the NovaSeq? Our current protocol is based on the TRUseq Small RNA kit but our core would like us to include a second index for better multiplexing. #Genomics

Check out our latest story in @MolecularCell. Our team pairs the dTAG system with deep genomic analysis to determine the spatiotemporal role of SMARCA5 in the maintenance of chromatin structure and function.

Mark your calendar for our next dissertation defense! Monica Bomber @monica_bomber from the @HiebertLab will be defending her thesis on Thursday, January 19th at 1 pm in LH 208!
Very happy to welcome Susu Zhang
@SusuZhang95 to our lab. She completed her PhD studies with Scott Hiebert @hiebertlab at Vanderbilt. Welcome to the lab, Susu!
Excited to share our newest story! Our team details how the fusion transcription factor PAX3-FOXO1 regulates RNAPII pause release at a small number of genes via the recruitment of co-regulatory complexes to specific enhancer elements in aRMS cells. https://t.co/M2qp2HXMmu
Very excited to share our work on PAX3-FOXO1 transcription regulation in aRMS now out in @MolecularCell. A huge thank you to everyone who supported and contributed to this project!!! @HiebertLab
The Department of Biochemistry @VandyBiochem in Vanderbilt Basic Sciences @VUBasicSciences is recruiting new faculty! Apply here: https://t.co/ahdlMl9iEm
Another dissertation defense to announce!
Susu Zhang (@SusuZhang95) from the @HiebertLab will be defending tomorrow, June 1, at 10:30 am in LH 512. She will be presenting about the transcriptional control of oncogenic transcription factor fusions in tumor development.
