@AdmiralUK your website is atrocious and has been for years. Any time I try to make a change or get a quote online I get a “technical issue” which closes the page, loses everything I’ve input and forces me to call…then I get charged an admin fee for calling.
@Wickes I’ve had ongoing issues for almost 6 months. Escalated to your customer relations team - every attempt to contact ignored for a month. Beyond words.
@darren_forder @Wickes Thing is the designer at my store is swamped, he’s got problems galore and I think he’s trying his best to help. I don’t understand what happens ar Wickes head office, they either don’t care or can’t deal with the volume of issues they have.
@darren_forder @Wickes Same here. Brick walls no matter what I try to do. There’s countless people tweeting them, seems to specifically be about bathrooms too… my store designer is the only person actively trying to help me!
@HannahPlews3@Wickes Good luck Hannah. A whole host of us in the same boat as I discovered today…have threatened them with legal action too, it doesn’t phase them…
@Cromwells_Ghost@ITgeekess@fay_guest@Wickes I did a “buy now pay later” with Wickes so have protection through Barclays. Don’t suppose you did the same? I’ve already got Barclays on the case for my work. Court action is hard, need to send multiple recorded letters warning them etc.
@Cromwells_Ghost@ITgeekess@fay_guest@Wickes We are in exactly the same boat Mace. I’m at the “corrective action team” stage too. I’ve been told conflicting things, both they don’t exist and they are a new team and backlogged. Also told their systems are new and not able to cope.
@hoss_is_bosss@fay_guest@Wickes It’s a civil matter by the sounds, I’m no legal professional. Them taking you to court probably is the best solution. Good luck!
@hoss_is_bosss@fay_guest@Wickes So despite what Wickes tell you, the fitter is their own company. Not Wickes. The additional works is a separate contract between you and your fitters company. The standard stuff you pay Wickes is everything outside of that additional quote.
@hoss_is_bosss@fay_guest@Wickes Additional works should be outlined in a document which the fitters need you to sign off, I’ve got a slip with the additional works which I had to pay for as a stand-alone from the entire Wickes installation.
@hoss_is_bosss@fay_guest@Wickes Your own fitter Hoss or did you get Wickes “approved” fitter to fit?
If the latter, your contract is with Wickes not the fitter.
@Cromwells_Ghost@ITgeekess@fay_guest@Wickes Similar situation to me Mace. I really don’t know what the solution to them is. Threatening legal action doesn’t scare them, nothing seems to be working. The only person who’s trying for me is the in store designer who’s at his wits end too!
@wickesarepricks@Wickes I think there must be a legal route if enough customers come together. You have a whole account dedicated to their service which does surprise me. Any thoughts?
@Wickes truly appalled by Wickes Bathroom service, words fail me. It has been months of chasing since my bathroom was “completed” in November. Issues like leaking to my neighbours below property and customer service team who (if they reply) can’t do anything. Do Wickes care?
@ITgeekess@fay_guest@Wickes Absolutely avoid. One of the worst experiences of my life. Their “all in one” design/supply/install service all falls over as soon as there’s problems. Get your materials from wherever and contact an independent fitter with good reviews. Wish we had.
