UPDATE: The State has amended the charge sheet against socialite and businessman Christian Asiimwe, alias Don Chris, adding seven new files, each containing 50 counts, bringing the total number of charges to 350. Asiimwe is accused of obtaining money by false pretences, allegedly claiming that he would recruit victims for external jobs in Canada through Sky Pins Tours and Travel. He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. More than 30 people who allege that they were defrauded are attending the proceedings at the City Hall Magistrates’ Court in Kampala.
