A very special afternoon @HighfieldYear6 as the girls shared their work and classroom with parents during our Open Book afternoon @HighfieldPrep @chatsworthschls #loveschool
@HighfieldRecep really enjoyed learning about the story of Rama and Sita today. They then became mini teachers and used their acting skills to share the story with @HighfieldNurs. Reception loved the responsibility of helping their peers to learn. @HighfieldHead@EYChatsworthSch
Pupils have been learning about the different forms and structure as well as listening and analysing all things poetry during this half term. Their recent challenge was to learn as much of the poem, Tomcat and perform it in class. We think they did pretty well!! 👏🏻 #poetry
Brilliant final session at our heads’ event with the awesome @HighfieldHead leading a focus on #DEI with compassion, courage and helpful guidance for all. @chatsworthschls
Today’s experiment is into friction - which surfaces will generate lots of friction and stop the car travelling far, which ones will generate little friction and allow the car to go a long way? @HighfieldHead @chatsworthschls #GirlsinSTEAM
We value greatly how our pupils achieve above and beyond and we’re passionate about never giving our pupils a ceiling so they can achieve anything and be anyone #proud#highfieldfamily#studentsuccesses#prepschoollife https://t.co/WKDIs7GKW9
It was fabulous to see you @davidjharkin to talk all things Chatsworth Ideas. We are very excited to see what happens next @highfieldprep @chatsworthschls
Here @highfieldprep @chatsworthschls we believe looking after our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Taking part together in events such as Hello Yellow day shows our young people how they feel matters #WorldMentalHealthDay#HelloYellow@YoungMindsUK
Fantastic hockey played by our U11 IAPS hockey team on Friday. The girls got into the quarter finals of the plate and just missed out on the semi finals after extra time for gold goal, then penalty flicks (best out of 3) and next goal wins penalty flicks, a very close game. 🏑
This week, Year 1 have been learning the story of ‘The Gigantic Turnip’! We have decided that we can make it even better, so today we created our own comic strips with a new special animal of our choice joining the story. Next week, we will start writing our stories 📝
We really enjoyed cooking and tasting our very own Mesolithic Stew today 🍴👨🍳 First we researched how and what prehistoric people hunted and gathered, then we tried combining our own ingredients to create something as close as possible to the original dish. #tastethehistory
We just had a brilliant engineering lesson @HighfieldYear5 creating our own 3D tangrams! Sitting or standing it does not matter! We have problem-solved, cut and stuck precisely and worked collaboratively. We love engineering @HighfieldPrep @chatsworthschls #STEAM#maidenheadprep
