Our P6 year group joined Milton of Leys, Inshes, Raigmore and Drakies Primaries in developing their understanding of equality and diversity this week. Thank you to @policescotland@SRtRCScotland@ICTFC for all your input and @ICTFC for hosting 👏🏻@mrs_see26 @M1ssEarnshaw
Today our P7s were discussing different forms of discrimination, linking these to the protected characteristics. Using case studies, they successfully applied their knowledge and understanding. #HealthandWellbeing#Equality
Thank you to Diane, one of our parents, a Human Resources Manager, who came in to talk to P7 about how our learning of the Equalities Act in class can be applied in the world of work. #DYW#Equality#ProtectedCharacteristics
Super proud of one of my amazing pupils winning @HighlandCouncil ‘Zippy Zoe’ electric car competition! Look out for her design on the road throughout the Highlands! 👏🏻#TheresNoPlanetB
P1 celebrating #UNCRC30 and #worldchildrensday! Learning more about their rights with P6 and listening to our lovely senior citizens talk about what school was like for them (before 1989!) Also enjoying the right to play at the end of the day! 😃 @inshes_ps@InshesR@tavs_laurie
We have come to the end of November and the first "Right of the Month" at @inshes_ps, but #Artile12 won't forgotten. #ChildrensRights are ever present and have to be respected. Our Article 12 display will remind us of this for the rest of the school year.
Next right: #Article14
Back in November P2 wrote a letter to local councillor @KenGowansSNP to raise awareness of the fact that @inshes_ps aren't able to #recycle anything but paper. They therefore requested a recycling bin.
On Friday morning Mr Gowans provided a recycling bin! We are very thankful!
