"Why Thames Water paid its boss £57,000 for skipping holiday."
Fat cat CEO of Thames Water, Chris Weston was paid £57,244 for not taking his annual holiday last year bringing his total pay to £1,160,000.
Now how's all that bonuses ban nonsense working out?

AOC: Do you think that $50 million is for free? Do you think it’s an act of charity? We know how this works. There’s $50 million in this race because they’re expecting a return. It’s an investment.
"Watchdog accused of ‘giving away’ billions of litres of spring water to foreign bottling giants."
Yep the EA are up to their old tricks again. The EA are charging Coca-Cola £6,070 a year to abstract water from the north of England which Coca-Cola then sells for £30 million.
Did I mention that according to the EA by 2050 in England we will need to find another 5 billion litres of water per day just to keep our taps running and to try and save our chalk streams.
What a hoax of a regulator.

Donald Trump refusing to get off the World Cup winning stage and having to be dragged off by Infantino who had to sprint over to him to pull him off should be on the frontline of every newspaper.
But of course it isn't.
Full credit to @carolecadwalla who called this out years ago & was subjected to disgusting & disgraceful abuse.
#Brexit was built on lies funded by dirty money from individuals & other countries who were motivated by their own dodgy interests.
So many of my peers in the media are showing a surprising anti-northern bias around Andy Burnham partly because unlike him they have never had to experience the kind of outsider or imposter-syndrome he felt at Cambridge and at Westminster. Much of the media has become elitist again and London-centric again and so many bylines are family names - it is too often a small world covering a big world badly.
Many replied to my last post: fine, removing Putin isn’t enough — but surely the Russian opposition is the alternative.
I don’t believe it is.
Most of Russia’s liberals oppose Putin. Very few oppose the empire.
Ask them about corruption, and they are eloquent. Ask them about Crimea, reparations, or the subjugated peoples inside Russia’s own borders, and the eloquence fades into ‘it’s complicated.’
I watched this for years from Georgia. In 2008, much of Russia’s intelligentsia — people who despised Putin at home — found reasons why bombing my country was regrettable but understandable.
The test of a Russian democrat was never his position on Putin. It is his position on empire.
Until Russia produces an opposition that wants a smaller, humbler Russia — not a better-managed one — regime change will only change the management.
The empire will simply hire new executives.
I am sorry but seeing MAGA cope after Trump was mercilessly booed at FIFA is the funniest thing on the planet.
They are denying he was booed when at the end of this clip it is abundantly obvious the entire world hates Donald Trump’s fucking guts.
This dandy from the WSJ Editorial Board:
"Since Mr. Trump declassified the memo, we can quote the part he didn’t. “Vote tabulation systems would be difficult to manipulate on a wide enough scale to compromise election results,” it says. “The systems in each voting location are not connected to the Internet or to each other, and many methods for exploiting them rely on physical proximity.” Achieving it across many jurisdictions “would be difficult” and “audits and paper trails very likely would uncover such an effort."
...
"Unfortunately, the message from Mr. Trump and others has been that America’s elections can’t be trusted, and the only hope is the SAVE America Act. Aside from being untrue, this is a political backfire for the GOP. If Republican voters believe it, and the bill falls short, then why waste time going to the polls in November? Has the GOP already forgotten how Mr. Trump’s fraud outbursts cost them two Senate seats in the 2021 Georgia runoffs?"

🇺🇸Trump: So?

🇺🇸Trump: Next question, please.
American Journalists are absolutely cooking Trump 👏

Survivors have waited long enough. The public has been misled long enough.
Who is being protected by the continued delay?

"If you were to ask me whether I believe David Brouillette is capable of this level of extreme violence, my answer is unequivocally yes. ... I have feared for a long time that his anger, aggression, and escalating behavior would eventually result in severe, life threatening violence."
