I understand the comment, but it takes more than scoring a shed load of runs to become a 'champion'. The boos are for one of the most odious people ever to play the game, not a reflection of his ability with a bit of wood in his hand.

@bbctms @BBCSport Well ... six of those were in my XI, so maybe I shouldn't complain. However, it's hard to see why Roy isn't in the side, I don't really understand the case for Carey and I'm afraid that there is no place for Warner in any team of mine, whatever his form with the bat.

The 'dismissal' of @JasonRoy20 shows why I think teams use their challenge too lightly. It's all very well HOPING that a batsman isn't LBW, but the system is intended to overturn clear errors, not marginal decisions. Errors like that 'catch'. #ENGvAUS

Over the years, I have very occasionally seen the stumps hit and the bails not dislodged. Lately, it seems to have reached epidemic proportions. Surely, there must be something fundamentally wrong with the equipment.

The current furore over a 'Mankad' has at least reignited discussion of 'the spirit of the game'. I'm pleased to see how frequently 'sledging' has been mentioned in that connection today. That is seeking to gain an advantage unfairly and is clearly against said spirit.

Someone else being to blame AS WELL does not excuse the individual's actions. I don't want to hear about pressure being put on people. These players knew what they were doing, they knew it was wrong, they got caught, they got punished ... and rightly so.
