2/2 AND like you said, elementary math educators are brilliant! You have to be to listen to a 5 year old explain thinking while you annotate their thoughts flawlessly on a number talk in real time while 25 sets of eyes watch like

Nailed it! As we push for agency and identity development as part of math discourse that will widen the space of "mathematician". Ask a young one to draw a mathematician..how often do they draw an image of themselves? Not often enough. 1/2
