With this new release, Kweli and Rawls showcase their artistic evolution, depth, and maturity. They take listeners on a Hip Hop journey with their masterful lyrics and genuine boom bap beats.
The album features a diverse lineup of guests, including Jimetta Rose, Blu, DJ Rhettmatic, TriState, Coast Contra, Buckshot, Skyzoo, Planet Asia, Phil Da Agony, IDK, Middle Child, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Diani, Solene, and NIKO IS.
This project marks the first collaboration between the two artists since Rawls produced "Brown Skin Lady" on the influential Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Blackstar album, a Hip Hop landmark from twenty-five years ago.
From the introspective "BREATH, EYES, MEMORY" to the nostalgic vibes of "TURNSTYLE," and the tribute to the Native Tongues collective in "NATIVE SONS," the duo remains committed to preserving the essence of Hip Hop culture.
