๐ซ Form 2 had a scrumdiddlyptious time on their trip to York Chocolate Story. The day was filled with chocolate tasting, chocolate making and finding out about both the ancient origins of cacao and the growth of chocolate making in Yorkshire ๐ซ
Last week Reception Class had a fabulous trip to the M&S Archive Museum in Leeds. They used their previous knowledge on colour and shape to design a biscuit tin. They also had fun dressing up!

Our caretakers have worked tirelessly to allow the school to open today and many of our staff helped with clearing snow yesterday.
We held our annual carol service on Wednesday evening at St John the Baptist Church in Coley. It was a lovely evening of carols, modern songs and readings from our very talented Junior and Senior pupils.

It's Christmas Jumper Day for our Seniors! Thank you to all our pupils and staff who wore their Christmas jumpers today, it has been amazing to see such an array of designs. Thank you for everyone's donations which will be forwarded to Save the Children.

Thanks to tireless fundraising from the FFA and kind parent donations we have this wonderful outdoor structure for our pupils to enjoy in all weathers
๐ญLast week our Y11 pupils had a busy couple of days of theatre trips. On Thursday they traveled to see โA Christmas Carolโ at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and on Friday they saw Blood Brothers at Leeds Grand Theatre.
Both were fantastic and great revision for their mocks.
Form 5 has had some exciting practical Science lessons this term with investigations into solubility and a sparkler experiment. We definitely have some budding scientists in the group!

Congratulations to William who has taken part in the 10km Cancer Research Swim. The challenge was to swim a total of 400 Lengths of a 25m pool throughout the month of November.
He has now increased his challenge to 12.5km to enable him to keep raising funds for @CR_UK .

Our school council arranged a huge bake sale along with face and nail painting. Thank you to everyone who bought a sweet treat or donated for non-uniform.
As a school, we raised over ยฃ800!
A special assembly was held today for our Senior pupils to mark Armistice Day.
Our Year 11 Leadership Team recited poetry and read the names of Hipperholme Grammar teachers and pupils who fell in WW1 and WW2. Readings and prayers were also given by Mr James and Canon Allison.
To mark National Stress Awareness Week (4th - 8th November), Mrs Sugden has put together a selection of useful information and resources for our Senior pupils. Posters will be displayed around school and videos played in form time to help our pupils cope with stress.
