@HamidMirPAK The govt failed to bring reforms in the tax system, hence maximum revenue is generated through indirect taxes, regressive in nature. Having an inelastic demand tax on oil and petroleum is an effective source of revenue collection. Broadening tax system is the only way forward.

@SouthAsiaIndex Stability and policy continuity is the reason. India and Bangladesh had policy continuity. Pakistan became un-investible after chief justice Saqib Munir and suo moto against private businesses. Corruption and repression was probably worse in Bangladesh but they still did better.
