Last year was the first season C.J. Stroud had the responsibility of IDing at the line & more things on his plate at the LOS which I think did help the offense but still ways away from where it likely needs to be.
Good to hear Jerry & Caley prioritizing the pre-snap stuff from Stroud to create easy advantages for the offense along with an improved run game on early downs.
#Texans rookie tight end Marlin Klein, a second-round draft pick from Michigan, tweaked his hamstring and was sidelined at OTAs this week, per league source. Not regardef as a long-term injury @KPRC2
Some notes from Texans final OTA practice via @Cody_Stoots & @LandryLocker on S&L:
- Both Stroud & Mills led situational TD drives (1 minute down 7 with 1 timeout), Stroud connected with Noel.
- Keylan Rutledge mainly first team center with Andrews rotating as well.
- Justin Watson getting the backup slot reps.
- Wade Woodaz “flying to the football”.
- Another good day for Lewis Bond.
