@mamaZoeCherotch@des_linden@FueledbyLOLZ As an RD how do we know the agents to flag? Every year I get requests. I try to do my due diligence. And of course you and Des are welcome at the Run for Women anytime!
STOP asking why they wanted to ride bikes, or why they wanted to ride bikes on that road. START asking why we put up with drunk drivers, aggressive drivers, and drivers who refuse to share the road.
@fast_women I would say having women on staff (I’m not the only one) has been tremendous for our program. 3 competitive seasons is a big difference from other sports.
@fast_women Got home at 10pm from track meets two nights in a row, now an Invy on Sat. it is a lot of time away without a support system. I started XC with boys and girls last fall, indoor with both and primarily boys this spring = missing seeing my sons run some of their college meets.
@erinstrout I’m sure this will be a must read for our XC/track girl talk meetings at the high school! Would love to have you zoom with our girls after they’ve read it.
@FitzDunk As a mom to DI and DIII runners this is scary. They are high achievers academically and athletically. I hope I’ve given them tools and support. As a new boys HS coach I’m preaching daily to them and will share this. Hearing others experiences has great value. Thanks for sharing.
