@ShehzadNawAaz Welldone Shahid Nawaz, you are doing a great job MashAllah, covering news and being present at all important locations at crucial times, wish you all the best!
Painda Khan Tanoli stands out as the most successful lord in resisting Sikhs in the Indus valley.
He commanded 500 horse and 2,000 infantry, most of whom were Hindustani Muslims.
This is probably why Painda's small force was so effective. By then, European-style military discipline and training had become somewhat accessible in parts of Hindustan, particularly Awadh, which supplied nearly half of the Bengal EIC Army's recruits.
Many freebooters sought to emulate this model, so it is quite possible that some of these Hindustanis were likewise trained along European lines, albiet to varying degrees.
While other Pashtun and Punjabi lords still fielded relatively old-school rabble, Painda Khan commanded a comparatively elite force, capable of at least a stand before a formidable Sikh force.
[The Sikhs] dare not leave [their forts]; [Painda Khan Tanoli’s] very grass-cutters insult them every day. […] In fact, the Sikhs are only there by his sufferance, he derives a revenue from them; […] as his band passes […] the Sikh soldiers salute him from the walls.”

I've been an Argentina fan for as long as I can remember. But the moment I saw that Genocidal Lunatic Netanyahu celebrating their win, I found myself rooting for Spain instead.
Congratulations, Spain! 🇪🇸
@audaciousM__ Where I belong from in KP, many Punjabis are earning a living by mining for Granite, but they still go to Punjab and vote for who ever they want to vote! If your logic makes any sense, cut the hydro electric power coming from KP for a day, feel the heat 🤡
the only difference this time was that there are two party's at the Center, majority went to PPP, I believe because Mehdi Shah Governor GB is already PPP so now probably CM will be PPP aswell 2/2
GB Elections: The hard fact is GB Polls and Kashmir Polls are always in favour of the ruling party because their subsidies be it wheat, other commoditied, electricity and other tax incentives all come from Islamabad 1/2
@ShamaJunejo Very unfortunate, the main reason why Pakistan is not progressing, Government Law Enforcing Agencies like FIA are collecting bribery burglary style, like its their birth right,,, all this beating is not to enforce the law, but to get more money from these people

Ten questions
By Dr Farrukh Saleem
April 10, 2026
1. Do you hear the editors of every major newspaper on earth reaching for the same word ‘Pakistan’ to explain how the world stepped back from the edge?
2. Do you see the world looking at Pakistan differently this morning, not through the lens of its struggles, but through the light of what it just accomplished?
3. Do you see the relief on faces in Tehran, in Tel Aviv, in Dubai, in Riyadh -- faces that went to sleep that night not knowing if they would wake up to war or to peace?
4. Do you hear Washington, Tehran, Beijing, Moscow, Jerusalem, London, Paris and Berlin -- for once, at the same moment -- speaking the same name?
5. Do you hear Alfred Nobel, from wherever history keeps its conscience, recognising in this moment exactly what he had in mind in 1895?
6. Do you feel the ground shifting under Islamabad, from a capital the world worried about to a capital the world is now grateful for?
7. Do you hear the traders on the floors of Seoul and Frankfurt and London exhaling -- finally exhaling -- because the number that was falling stopped falling?
8. Do you hear the silence where the sirens were?
9. Do we Pakistanis grasp that while others debated, calculated and hesitated, Pakistan simply acted?
10. Do you feel, somewhere in the marrow of what it means to be Pakistani, that something has permanently changed -- that the country the world doubted just became the country the world needed?

Tonight, Pakistan achieved one of its biggest diplomatic wins in years. It also defied many skeptics and naysayers that didn’t think it had the capacity to pull off such a complex, high stakes feat.
But what matters the most is it helped avert a potential catastrophe in Iran.
Pakistan reportedly may host US-Iran talks later this week. Islamabad has been pitching itself as a mediator in recent days, and the USG praised Pakistan last year for its willingness to play an Iran mediation role.
