We visited the room where Eisenhower, amongst others, planned the invasion. This map, located in Southwick House, shows the planned routes of the boats that completed this historic operation.
On this day in 1945 Victory in Europe was declared after 6 years of conflict, with the Allies’ acceptance of the unconditional surrender of Germany’s forces.
