This month marks @HMD_UK . We're remembering today the January Revolt of the Warsaw Uprising. This led to a disruption and temporary delay of the Nazis' deportations. Hundreds of brave Jewish people with makeshift weapons or those smuggled in by the Polish Resistance fought back

Super proud of our @aircadets team in the #RAST competition today. They worked hard in the lead up to this competition and have learned valuable lessons for next year’s effort too.

Sarah Mirkin, aged 7, has won a national writing competition for her story about her Krio culture and notable Krio and RAF navigator, John Henry Smythe.
Smythe spent 18 months in a prisoner-of-war camp in Germany before he was liberated.

Following the defeat of France, Winston Churchill had reluctantly withdrawn British troops from the Channel Islands. Around 25,000 occupants were evacuated to Britain.
