@LynnsWPics@MissHistorygal Morning. I do think the first two pictures are the same gentleman - ears are similar enough for the angle of the photo, eyes, lips , nose exactly,y the same.
Not sure the other two gentlemen are closely similar to him, unless the collection was found together? always tricky
according to international Human Rights Watch the UK could soon make the list of countries that abuse rather than protect human rights - just think about that when you vote later this year
We're now a quarter of the way to getting the 10,000 signatures we need to get a Government response to this petition.
Can we get some of the big names in the history world to share it?
In about six weeks, it might be too late!
Retweets please... 🙂

@BettinaSRoss1 @brightonatheart Did your Nan talk about the horrific experiences she and your grandfather must have had,and the experience of her journey as a war refuge?
@BettinaSRoss1 @brightonatheart Thanks so much for posting these! Here is Sydney in the 1939 Register with his family . It looks as if he subsequently married in 1940 and sadly died in 2000 ( living in Colchester then)
Today would have been my nan's birthday. A young, confident (some say, feisty) lady, once engaged to a man from Quorn until Adolf. A war wedding, a refugee in the West. Mother, grandmother, accomplished seamstress. A life twice started over, well lived. Not gone, remembered.
@p_salmons so nice to meet you ,by chance, over coffee at the dials on Friday Paul …(this is my hobby Twitter profile)…a work in progress - Fascinated by your work. bw Rachel
@KJvFStaudt@MemoryWeb You have inspired me to get the cards out!
My grt grandfather ran pubs in Birmingham in 1900s. According to Auntie Marjorie (profile pic), in 1920s they would close the pub Sunday sit in the bar and play highly-competitive card games.
Grannie loved cards all of her life
@KJvFStaudt@MemoryWeb I used to love that game and taught by my grandmother… memories!..not sure if it is though as don’t you have more piles of cards with aces at the sides? ..it’s been a long time ..will have to look up the rules again 🃏
My next read has arrived! Beautifully wrapped with a note! 🖋️📚Thank-you @foxlanebooks …let’s all try to buy from independant booksellers and publishers 👍
Don’t think I’m EVER going to reach 10k - since EM took over Twitter/X my followers continues to go down rather than up - aaargh! Do I need to do a competition or something? I already have a great treat planned for the 10k milestone (if I make it!) Anyway, please buy books! 🧡🦊
