When you have kids in for lunch and they get so heated in an unsolicited debate about whether Russia’s downfall was Germany or Stalin’s fault that they stand up and ask me to fact check their arguments. This is a social studies teacher’s dream!

@coachbgreenH There’s 💯 a win in every scenario based on how they handle the success or respond to failure. I meant that the final score can’t be all that connects/drives a coach & players. They’ve got to trust you enough to see the value in those loses & learn from them rather than sulk.
TOTD: Winning cannot be the sole connection between a coach, a player, and a teammate.
“Winning” becomes inconsistent at times & failure will destroy the culture if there isn’t rapport outside of the game. Coach them hard, but love them harder!
