So let me get this straight?
KC plays ZERO teams after a bye
Chargers play FOUR teams after a bye AND TWO MORE teams with 10 days rest… all being tough teams.
KC
New England
Houston
LV
Baltimore
Buffalo
So sick of the NFL coddling KC. Its so obvious at this point
Don’t claim you wanna grow and promote one of the weakest genres in the hobby and then try to mute, ignore or slow down someone working hard toward that same goal because they don’t sit at your cool kids table, or align with your big hobby agenda. Be better.
A lot of people get swept up in emotion the moment a season ends — but I actually applaud the Chargers for even making the playoffs.
This team dragged itself into the tournament behind an offensive line that was legitimately unplayable, while losing two of its five best players for the season. That alone is remarkable.
Ironically, Justin Herbert’s “narrative” might look cleaner if the Chargers had simply won 6–8 games and quietly missed the playoffs — like several so-called elite quarterbacks in far more functional environments. Instead, he carried structural failure into January, and somehow that gets spun negatively.
What’s most frustrating is that none of this was a surprise.
The interior offensive line was the worst unit in football last season.
The entire offensive line was the worst unit in football this season.
This has been screaming for attention for a full calendar year.
Devlin and Greg Roman need to be gone.
The interior offensive line needs a complete teardown and rebuild.
The Chargers have an absurd amount of cap space. They are positioned to fix this — properly — and they will be equipped to contend next season.
It never genuinely felt like contention was on the table once Alt and Slater went down. The fact that this team still clawed its way into the playoffs was closer to a minor miracle than an expectation — and it gave some fans false hope about what this roster actually was.
They’ll be back.
If you switch up now, stay on that side.
I already have a U-Haul full of receipts.
@AcmePacks Chargers don’t play good enough to win anyways, but yes this game was one sided on the officiating. New England Patriots = Bigger Market than Los Angeles Chargers. LA already has the Rams. We know what the NFL wants
Justin Herbert will finish 2nd in the entire NFL in QB rushing yards this season. Only Josh Allen has more. He needs to win one more game to have swept his entire division. He's playing behind arguably the worst line in football with a surgically repaired hand.
What has that gotten him? Less Pro Bowl votes than Shedeur Sanders. Not even in the top 10 of QB votes. Can we just abolish the Pro Bowl, please?
The point isn’t that Patrick Mahomes had the worst game of his career with the season on the line while missing three linemen—his résumé speaks for itself. The point is that Justin Herbert has played virtually every game this season down three linemen, behind what might be the worst offensive line in a decade, and hardly anyone notices.
With Rashawn Slater missing every game, Joe Alt missing the overwhelming majority of the season, Hampton out half the season, Khalil Mack sidelined for a month and a half, and the Chargers fielding the worst offensive line in a decade, this team had no business winning even six games this season. Yet they’re 8–4.
Justin Herbert is, quite literally, underrated.
