We have had a great first week back in the IR. This term, we are looking at people who have helped us in the past with a focus on Florance Nightingale. We have loved hearing from the pupils about who they feel helps them in their homes, school and community!

We are learning about repeated addition and multiplication this week in the Hive! We have enjoyed using physical resources to help us see equal groups.

We have loved learning how to play a Djembe drum in music this half term! We are learning all about the Antarctic and Africa as part of our explorers topic so this has got us very excited to study Africa!

We are Explorers this half term! Our first stop is the Arctic! Today we built an Arctic den and discussed whether it would be hot or cold. We star gazed at the Northern Lights and had a story!

We've had a great time exploring our school's outdoor space for signs of Winter!

As it comes to Winter, we have talked about the importance of keeping healthy. In the Hive this week we undertook a germ experiment to highlight the importance of washing our hands!

After visiting Pontefract Castle we are now learning about life in a castle and what the inhabitants did for fun! We have planned a Medieval banquet and making jam tarts!

We LOVED our Hive trip to Pontefract Castle this week. We enjoyed learning about life in a Castle and why Castle's were built on hills.

In Life Skills today, we have been learning to bake using left overs. We used a grater, masher and a whisk. We also learnt about the importance of having clean hands before we start baking!

We have been learning what qualities a good friend has. We made our own friends like Meesha from the book Meesha Makes Friends!

We have had a great few days settling back into routines in our Integrated Resource last week. We are so excited to start exploring our new topic - Curious about Castles this week!
