"Houthis are our enemies"
"If Houthis endanger the maritime, Israel and Somaliland will take action"
These are reckless and crazy statements and against Somaliland policy of peace and de-escalation.
The Saudis messed up Yemen, they need to fix up that mess, not us.
@somalilandmfa this news is spreading like fire and best to clarify asap.
Don't let others shape our policy and narratives

Shut this down and remove @EPeterschmitt AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
This man is going out of his way to avoid using the name of Somaliland, it’s obvious he has ulterior motives. We do not need their aid if we must forsake our values for it.
This NGO mindset must end, or Somaliland will not survive.
@TheEconomist Greece supports the recognition and sovereignty of Somaliland.
Somaliland has apply all standards and respected international laws. Show stability and potential growth. Maybe is time for full recognition and independence.
Excellent report by @SomalilandChro1 on the insane reality of Somalian passports being issued in Hargeisa.
Somalilanders must wake up to the erosion of their sovereignty that successive SL governments allowed to happen.
Why the passport issue is especially sinister 👇
"What did we achieve in Somalia?"
"What did we get in return?"
Turkish MPs are fed up.
Somalia has become a massive financial and military burden on Turkish taxpayers, with billions in aid poured in and almost no visible improvements on the ground.
This MP is Erdogan's former doctor btw.
Somaliland and Somalia both agree Cyprus is one country and reject Turkey's invasion of Northern Cyprus.
This is the first time EVER that Somaliland and Somalia agree on something
...and Turkey is the biggest loser
Somaliland President will visit Washinton
The goal isn't to differentiate Somaliland and Somalia passports. That's already established.
The goal isn't to shake hands with U.S. officials. That's already happened.
The goal is the big R:
FULL RECOGNITION.
...and I say this while being opposed to all Somaliland political parties. Some things rise above local politics and party loyalties.
This is one of them.
Godspeed Mr President
#BREAKING
Somaliland media reporting President Abdirahman Irro will lead a large delegation to the United States in September for crucial meetings with American officials, world leaders, business elite, and policy think-tanks aimed at showcasing Somaliland as a stable strategic state with vast untapped economic potential.
The full itinerary of the president has not been disclosed but the trip is likely to coincide with the annual UNGA in New York.
During his recent visit to Kenya, H.E. President @Abdirahmanirro of the Republic of Somaliland met with H.E. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, at State House, as well as Rt. Hon. Moses Wetang’ula, Speaker of the National Assembly, and other senior Kenyan leaders. These engagements provided an important opportunity to further strengthen the Somaliland–Kenya relationship, with discussions covering areas of real potential for greater cooperation, including trade and investment, economic cooperation and matters of shared regional interest.
The President also met with around 20 members of the diplomatic and development community in Nairobi. I considered this an especially important engagement, as it gave the President an opportunity to speak directly about Somaliland’s progress, the priorities of his administration and the opportunities for partnership in areas such as infrastructure, energy, healthcare, investment and economic development. Our partners, in turn, were able to engage the President directly, raise their questions and share their perspectives.
Having worked closely with many of these partners, I was particularly encouraged by the genuine interest in Somaliland and the willingness to engage in a substantive discussion about where our respective interests can meet.
The visit also provided an opportunity to build on relationships and conversations that @SomalilandinKe has been developing throughout the year.
I am grateful to our Kenyan hosts and to the diplomatic and development community for the warm welcome extended to the President and for the openness with which they engaged him. There is considerable goodwill towards Somaliland in Kenya, and we at the Mission are encouraged by this. Our task now is to build on that goodwill, keep these conversations moving and turn the opportunities identified into meaningful partnerships and tangible results for Somaliland.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you 🤷🏽♀️
The govt is completely disengaged & disinterested in what’s happening around us in this region. People don’t even realise that @Presidencysl_ has no geopolitical agenda, or foreign policy strategy.
@somalilandmfa@Abdirahmanirro
As predicted a week ago..
Cirro went to Nairobi to beg the international community for a way out of the E-Visa situation, offering a return to "talks" in exchange.
- Concede failure on the e-visa situation, beg Somalia for a compromise (DONE ✅)
- Resume Somaliland / Somalia talks in return (LOADING 🔃)
Somalia is now telling the IC they're prepared to hand over the $60 fee while retaining full administrative control of the E-Visa system.
Somaliland can not, under any circumstances, accept implementation of the Somalian e-visa.
This is not about money. Somalians understand this too.
Accepting cash from Mogadishu in exchange for letting them control Somaliland's borders and skies is a direct surrender of our sovereignty. A state that surrenders its border control ceases to be a state.
Hadhow "waa layna khiyaameeyey" ha odhanina.
🚨BREAKING: Rumours have begun to surface that the Somaliland government is secretly transferring prisoners from Las Anod to Jigjiga, 🇪🇹 not as part of a negotiated exchange for our own imprisoned soldiers, but simply as a political manoeuvre- one that seeks to appease certain factions and distract from the real tragedy unfolding.
This is not just a small misstep; it’s a grave betrayal. As a diaspora, we stand united against this injustice. Faisal Abdi Bohan, the general unjustly imprisoned and paraded on social media, should be free. These men fought for the very constitution of #Somaliland, and it is our government’s failure-both past and present; that has kept them in chains.

Turkey has the audacity to criticize Israel. But what are the facts on the ground?
Thousands of Turkish soldiers. Dozens of military bases and outposts across Syria, Iraq and Cyprus.
While Erdogan’s military aggression knows no borders, and Turkey occupies 36% of Cyprus, 5% of Syria and 2,000 km² of Iraq.
Israel temporarily controls merely 0.1% of Syria - a buffer zone to protect its citizens from proven security threats.
FACT CHECK:
The clip shared below is old, from February 2024.
Another example of propaganda and fake news spread by unprofessional Somalian media outlets targeting people of Somaliland.
Absolutely immoral.
Somalilanders really need to develop a backbone and stop rolling out the welcome mat for people whose only contribution has been division politically homeless one day, morally bankrupt the next, changing positions whenever it suits them.
Just a few months ago, @mrobsiye was a fierce opponent of Somaliland, going as far as openly calling for armed resistance. Where is he today? Back in Somaliland, attempting yet another political rebrand, while dismissing Diaspora Somalilanders who never switched sides and remained committed to the cause as “trolls.”
If your condemnation and opposition to Somaliland were public, then your admission of defeat and request for forgiveness should be public too.
You don’t get to loudly campaign against Somaliland, quietly return when the political winds change, and then lecture those who remained loyal throughout.
If the opposition was public, the apology should be public. Otherwise, you simply make yourself look foolish.
Lets go to the official statement released by Mahmoud Hashi regarding his visit and the meetings he had, as reported by Somaliland's media:
"Wasiirka oo ay weheliniyaan (((laba khabiir oo ka tirsan wasaaradda duulista Somaliland)))".
Mahmoud Hashi employed Mr. Tiktok and introduced him as a Somalilander aviation expert!!
