General practice delivered 26.5m appointments this August - 13.3% above the level seen in the same month in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic, analysis of official data show.
What a brilliant night - a chance to reflect on all the excellent work being undertaken across the Borough. Proud to be part of #OneBromley. Thank you @NHSBromley_CCG
@BromleyGPs @NHSBromley_CCG @KingsCollegeNHS@OxleasNHS @NHSSELondonCCG @LBofBromley This absolutely epitomises collaboration - well done to all of you who came together across organisations to ensure the successful delivery of the vaccination programme.
@GpSouthview Absolutely bloody brilliant nurse and most loveliest of humans. Taught me about the value of GP Nurses. Surely you can’t be old enough to retire though Carole?
We held another clinic tonight. We would like to thank Dr Silvia.Anie-Akwetey of @BromleyGPs for her time & commitment to helping those with no homes. Thank you you are a 🌟 thanks to @BromleyUrc@OxleasNHS we couldn't do this without you all
Amazing efforts across the patch. Brilliant to see everyone pulling together, and doing all this alongside the important day job seeing and treating patients. Huge thanks to our volunteers and to everyone who has gone the extra mile to make this work.
@NHSBromley_CCG 👍🏻 🎖
On Tuesday we had no clinics planned for today, no vaccine, no staff and no patients booked in… Today we have given 600 vaccines (inc 200 walk-ins). Such an achievement for our relatively small team. And we go again tomorrow…and the next day…and the next… Well done Team!
As a GP I diagnosed a 15yr old boy’s brain tumour from listening to his concerns. Gamma knife surgery will have changed his entire life.
Didn’t make front pages & only he, his parents & practice know the story.
Primary care’s victories are silent but the criticism is deafening
I started my day at 8.30am. I was “Sifting” #GP. This meant I had to go through almost all requests for GP appointments - received by telephone, email, eConsult (via the practice website), hospital letters or electronic tasks from other clinicians in hospital or community.
Wishing all our new GP trainees the best of times as the start their training programmes today... and to all our newly qualified GPs as they leave us and go out and on to greater things. You’ve got this!

20 years ago we clung onto our Oxford Handbooks of Medicine for dear life...through every on-call and every night shift, always in the pocket of my white coat!
Never read the Last Word until today.
It’s bang on. Love it. Thanks for sharing @leehudson111
