It's the dry season in South Florida, if you have no water features in your yard, consider placing a dish with rocks or pebbles and fill with water for small critters such as snakes, lizards, bees, and other insects. Refill every other day.
A handy trick when planting native wildflowers in dry soil is to fill the holes with water first and allow the water to settle. Then install your plants, and water thoroughly.
