Here’s how you can tell that VAR footage wasn’t reviewed long enough for the MLS Red Card:
Frame 1: MLS is not coming in studs up with any force, his foot is angled to trip the Wolves player.
Frame 2: He looks like he is about to catch his man high on the calf.
Frame 3: The foot grazes the shinpad instead, as you can see from the way the shinpad creates a shape in the sock.
Frame 4: His foot lands on top of a non-planted foot, tripping the man.
It’s a yellow card offence, just like Bruno Fernandes’ incident earlier in the season.
Looked high/dangerous but under proper review, it wouldn’t be a red card.
