As a believer in Christ and God our creator this topic has been weighing heavily on me and I wanted to share as I have been doing some research on it today.

God created and made holy the seventh-day Sabbath at the very beginning of mankind , on the seventh day of Creation week, long before the Israelites, the twelve tribes, or the Jews (the tribe of Judah) even existed. It was a gift given to all humanity, a weekly holy day set apart by God Himself for rest, worship, and renewal.

Yet this gift has largely been rejected by much of Christianity. The rejection traces back to early anti-Jewish theology. Around 170 AD, Melito of Sardis delivered a sermon that accused the Jews of murdering God Himself. This idea created a deep prejudice against anything seen as “too Jewish.”

This mindset later influenced worship practices. In 321 AD, Emperor Constantine (a sun worshipper) made the “Venerable Day of the Sun” (Sunday) a legal day of rest. Then in 364 AD, the Council of Laodicea commanded Christians not to “Judaize” by resting on the Sabbath. They (not God) ordered people to work on Saturday and honor Sunday instead.

Today, many Christians adamantly defend Sunday worship and reject the seventh day simply because it is viewed as “Jewish,” following the same spirit that began with Melito. Voices like Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson often display this same arrogance and selective attitude toward Jewish roots while embracing traditions that deliberately distanced themselves from what God originally established.

The loss is significant. Research shows that consistent Sabbath-keeping is linked to lower stress and anxiety, better mental health, stronger relationships, improved spiritual well-being, and even measurable physical benefits like lower cortisol levels. By abandoning the only day God made holy once a week, many believers are missing out on a powerful weekly gift meant to bless their lives.

It comes down to a simple choice: Will we follow God’s clear word from Creation, or will we follow man-made traditions rooted in politics and prejudice? For Christ’s sake, let’s choose to follow the Bible over theologians and return to the holy day God gave all mankind from the very beginning.

Am I off base that with Earl Spencer blowing up what semblance of cordiality may have remained and Harry getting cozy with the Earl that it will not further bode well for them? I could totally see Harry writing a forward/blurb of the book so that the earl can try to add credence to the book.

@RNN_RoyalNews I’m convinced they realized they can’t afford a home in Oxford near the school and are using the security as an issue to move to a different “cheaper” area to provide “better safety” to the children.
