Does Ameren not know how technology has made it super easy to keep customers in the loop the whole way? I swear they pat themselves on the back for sending a one hour notice that isn’t even correct.
I don’t understand @AmerenMissouri’s inability to use tech to keep customers up to date. At 8:30am I got a text that starting at 9:30am my street would lose power while a crew installs a new poll. I have backup power and can keep working, but why didn’t Ameren
alert customers a full 24 hours before? (Two neighbors heard nothing about the outage). Now, 2+ hours later the old pole is still up and there’s been no outage.
.@gobrightspeed talked my 82 yo mom into a service she didn’t need. She’s been without phone-internet for 3 days. When I asked chat support in the app what time they will be here it says no one has to be here — despite another section of the app saying someone has to be here.
Hey @gobrightspeed, you talked my 82-year-old mother into a service she doesn’t need, then turned off her phone and internet. And when I called to have it all restored you hung up on me.

Hi @BrightspeedHelp @gobrightspeed. You sent my elderly mom an appointment confirmation. I want to suggest you update the text links in your email. I looked for confirm, reschedule, and resolved buttons in the email, then I realized the words are the links.
The @nytimes map displays only "confirmed" protests. Thanks to social media, we can confirm many, many more. I shared two photos with the article's writers as proof of the St. Louis rally. Here's one.

Thanks to @CharlesCWCooke and @ScottLincicome for a comprehensive, easy-to-understand explanation of the good, the bad, and the myths about tariffs.
