@avispartan1@bread157@dh324351 That doesn't make much sense considering China is massively decentralised. A big reason why it did so well where the USSR didn't. India is very centralised and has a host of more problems than China.
@dalinik89@Skyfrom5to7 I mean colonialism is one way imperialism is achieved. And so is Lenin's definition. Imperialism became used as the British Empire (and others) started expanding aggressively (scramble for Africa etc).
@Skyfrom5to7 I'm pretty sure the Age of Imperialism is an actual historical time period that ends due to WWI. What you're talking about is the US becoming the world hegemon after WW2 and its post-Empire form of capitalist imperialism. But the Age of Imperialism is like 1800-1914 or so
@avispartan1@dh324351 Then things will probably be alright (all things considered). But those virtuous leaders will step down or die one day and a non virtuous leader can very easily take their place. You prepare for the worst case scenarios - that's what all protections are for.
@avispartan1@dh324351 They should. Humans need protections from their leaders the same way employees need protections from laissez faire capitalism. It's why unions, regulations, workers rights and human rights matter. Otherwise some dickheads can just exploit and abuse workers at their leisure.
@RiotRMD My only concern is the lack of a "2" in the title. That it may not break through to the less clued in audience that this is the big Control Sequel. Similar to the Wii U or 28 Days Later: The Bone Temple or even the Xbox Series S/X. Brand confusion. Hopefully unfounded
@lutyrannus@ShenZxro I think it was just to sell the game to GoW fans that would be super sceptical of a new GoW focusing on Kratos' wife. Give them enough time to warm to the idea.
@JPearson96@Sawyer_DAA Buddy most shooters with MP were lucky to be even 10 hours at the time. The Last of Us was like 13 hours and I remember thinking that was hefty at the time.
@tayzthecreator British refers to being part of the UK and Overseas Territories rather than being born on the Island of Great Britain. People from the Isle of Man are British. People born in Northern Ireland are British (also Irish since the GFA). Falklands, Channel Islands etc etc
@yunclesage There's a difference between making stuff for the working class and making stuff about the working class. The working class can enjoy any type of media. Working class people don't necessarily need to know how fucked things are. It's usually the well off that need educated.
@Drazon333 It's just because she's barely in the game. If she had appeared every time you levelled up and you could ask her a question about stuff happening in the story she'd be much more popular. The game is over 100 hours long and she pops up like 3 or 4 times in the main narrative.
@Jimbob00172@ShinMarginalScr Right but in practice Britishness is really just an extension of Englishness. The whole idea of being "British" is English colonialism and morphing nations into conforming to "English standards" and erasing and surpressing their unique identities over centuries.
@dhulqarnayn786 Palestine and Ukraine are both relatively smaller nations being invaded/desecrated by their much more powerful neighbours - both resulting in the killing and murder of many many civilians. It's unjustifiable. What if Russia invaded and killed thousands of Polish civilians?
@TheOwlOdd@LukeTrago Putins just a guy like you and me. He's massively corrupt and just puts his own warped ideology over people. He's just a dick that's too obsessed with Batu Khan's Invasion of Kievan Rus and why that makes droning families in their beds okay actually.
@BigBossBroly@HelmBreaker21 Only for more modern games. But Halo 2 Anniversary showed what a modern version of the CG cutscenes could be like - and it looked great. No appropriate for every game but it can be great if the resources and budget is there to do it properly.
