@ianncushing@NickMolinaETA Do it, and don't let the guy think he has the upper hand. Out communicate him so there's no room for misunderstanding and him trying to get his money back
@MaxArnold99 This is where providing the client a standard scope of work with 10 to 15% specific to their request comes in very handy. It shows the client that you are the expert and you can take this off of their plate. And eliminates the need for them to feel like they need to over see
@pjmcgeary@simcox_gm It's not about pricing it's about efficiency and profitability. You can charge whatever the market says but cleaning 1600 sq ft in 12 ish hours is insanely inefficient and expensive for you
@pjmcgeary@simcox_gm Home you described. My point is that a lot of the cleaning accounts on here seemed to be completely out of the norm for real pricing models and to do any sort of scaling need much better modeling and systems to effectuate the cleaning in a profitable way.
@pjmcgeary@simcox_gm If I take your averages it looks like you are estimating approx 320 hours to execute a move out cleaning for 82000 sq ft . Which equates to ~256 sq ft per hour. The winning bid essentially equated to twice as fast as that. Which again aligns closely with what my math was for the
@pjmcgeary@simcox_gm Even if you slowed down the rate some to account for high level detail it's not 3x slower than my calculations. Ok here's one for you , 256 dorm rooms and 128 shared bathrooms. Scope is "move out" cleaning. 82000 sq ft of space to be cleaned . What's the labor hours?
@pjmcgeary@simcox_gm Thatโs insane . Iโm not saying donโt charge the same prices but labor hours should be done on a very specific equation. No shot it should take you 10+ man hours to deep clean 1600 sq ft after someone has moved out.
@pjmcgeary Total ,if you have 3 people and you are doing a deep clean you should be able to execute 500 sq ft per hour . Expect that since you are there they are a bit more efficient make the sq ft about 15% faster , add back time for windows you land at approximately 3.5 hours of labor
