Please retweet, 32 DOGS IN DESPERATE NEED NOW SAFE IN RESCUE #YORKSHIRE #UK
On Friday we were contacted by East Riding Social Services desperate for help for 32 dogs who were in a terrible state and living in squalid conditions. This situation had become an emergency for the dog’s elderly owner who had sadly become very incapacitated and needed hospitalisation.
Hers and the dogs living conditions had become unmanageable and it was clear something needed to be done urgently.
The RSPCA had been contacted and did visit the property and took a couple of the really poorly or injured dogs, but unfortunately didn’t have the room for anymore so 32 were left behind.
We couldn’t turn our back on them even though we are only a tiny charity and don’t have kennels.
Most of our fosters were already full or on Christmas holiday. So we reached out to other rescues and managed to coordinate the rescue of all the dogs in one go on the same night. Our thanks go to Chirpy’s Allies and Adoptapaws for stepping up and transporting the dogs to safety at the drop of a hat.
Most of the dogs have medical issues that will need surgeries such as dental and hernias as well as neutering, and almost all have skin, ear and eye infections having lived in their own excrement for some time.
Unfortunately their owner couldn’t afford to feed them either so all the dogs are also very underweight. They are doing great now though and have been groomed to remove their enormous mats and the faeces from their coats.
They are feeling much better now and even have little coats and jumpers on. However the vet bills for helping these dogs will hit very hard so if you can spare even a pound, please donate towards the vet fees which are likely to hit some £25,000 all in all.
The teamwork between rescues and the social services has been amazing, with only one goal in mind- to help the dogs get out of this terribly sad and awful situation. Despite all the above, we still hope their owner will be feeling better soon and know she is receiving very good care and we will make sure the dogs get nothing but the best from now on.
PLEASE NOTE - The dogs will NOT be ready for new homes for some time yet until they are all fit and healthy and recovered from their ordeal. Details will be posted on how to apply once they are ready. For now we need your help to get them happy and healthy.

@mynameisloyal @FRemplakowski @LizdotcodotUK Absolutely, the audacity is off the charts!

[Gurminder Singh @Ginds79]

@domdyer70 @RTErdogan @MeldaKelemcisoy @animalsavemvmt @InsaneHuseyin I support your campaign against Turkeys abuse of dogs. But to ignore government abuse to dogs in the UK is just as unforgivable yet you fail to mention that.

Hundreds of dogs killed per month because they are deemed dangerous by people who have never met them. Sickening!

@Dr_Dan_1 This kind of eloquence only fuels fear and discrimination against specific dog breeds, ignoring evidence based approaches that promotes responsible ownership and public safety.

They only push outdated and misleading ideas.

@JustAMan37 @RupPangbourne @solderandflux @Wasntme2323 @LizdotcodotUK @bluestonebullys @MGrears @benno86222551 @doggyscienceusa @Ginds79 Interesting, If i am not mistaken the majority of people on this thread don’t own bully XL, and if they do, they are a hell of a lot clever than you.

I mean given your weird chit chatting no wonder you were wrong here either.

@bluestonebullys @JustAMan37 @Wasntme2323 @LizdotcodotUK @solderandflux @RupPangbourne @MGrears @benno86222551 @doggyscienceusa @Ginds79 I’ve never seen anybody staying in the conversation without staying in it.

Makes comments about people he doesn’t have the guts to address directly, and makes a short comments about topics, he has no understanding of.
