COVID-19 has exposed the lethal consequences of our inadequate housing provision. We shouldn’t need to keep telling the government what is needed. The evidence has been there, the solutions have been there and the money surprise, surprise has been there the whole time.
The #Covid19UK crisis and the response to date has shown that with political will, rough sleeping can be reduced. This taskforce has an opportunity to go further to ensure that ‘everybody in’ goes beyond this pandemic and that rough sleeping is ended for good #endroughsleeping
We know councils are working hard to find shelter for people sleeping rough but some are still forced to stay on the streets. @Channel4 and @TBIJ have reported on the current situation. https://t.co/Pg63nnKONQ

Rough sleepers in tents outside Stratford Centre #Newham have finally been moved on. And to make sure they cannot go back #NewhamCouncil have found funds to put up barriers to deter their return.
UK Councils must provide sufficient, affordable #Home4all to reduce rough sleeping.
Homeless outreach group, @WFFOTS Feet on the Streets, were out delivering winter warm clothing and gifts outside @ChristianKitchn this week.

Great interview with fab @Shelter @ShelterBristol colleague @Penny_Walster who leads our team in Bristol, on the plight of homeless families in the city. People often think the emergency is just London - it is not https://t.co/DtNKgZnMQi
How will each party tackle housing and homelessness? If you missed last week's #housinghustings I urge you to watch - worth seeing for the debate around 'affordable' housing alone. https://t.co/jPip8vDCJy
