ICYMI 📺 NFU President Tom Bradshaw spoke to BBC News last week about the disruption to global oil and gas markets that is putting a huge strain on UK farmers and growers.
The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world. Most of all, it’s a testament to the resilience and determination of the Hungarian people – and a reminder to all of us to keep striving for fairness, equality and the rule of law.
Support our farmers wherever possible. Our food security and maintenance of the beautiful countryside is because of farmers.
Because when the farmland is gone, it’s gone forever. No farmers, no food.

The Labour Government has decided to defund rural communities.
Here in Cumbria, the Government is cutting its funding for Westmorland and Furness Council by nearly a third.
This is an attack on every single one of our communities and the services we all rely on.
Just been quoted £1.40/l for red diesel - more than double what we paid in December and far closer to the derv price - who is making money out of this? It’s certainly not me!
