At the @IndianExpress Adda, I spoke about how politics can be unforgiving. We competed fiercely with the previous DMK government in Tamil Nadu for investments - won some, lost some.

But I never heard an investor complain of being asked for money by the government. Credit where it's due: the DMK government ran a clean and professional investment process and that deserves appreciation.

@Akshita_N 's tweet makes it sound like Hon. CM @actorvijay has recruited "so many women" for the first time in Tamil Nadu Police Department's history for the #Singappen task force.

Akshita's "amazement" may be because she's unaware of the legacy of women in TN Police:

- Women were recruited as part of TN Police for the first time in 1973. In 1974, while addressing them, the then CM Dr. Kalaignar said their duty was women's safety.

- TN pioneered All Women Police Stations. They were introduced by CM J. Jayalalithaa. Today there are ~250 AWPS across TN.

- CM Dr. Kalaignar brought in 30% reservations for women in Police force. This reservation is the main reason that about 20,000 women serve in the TNPF today.

- There is an exclusive women battalion in TNPF - TSP Battalion V, Avadi.

- Dr. Kalaignar appointed the first ever woman DGP in TN - Letika Saran. When the HC struck down her appointment on procedural grounds, Dr Kalaignar appointed her again!

- TN has the first ever all women commando unit!

- Amma patrols were introduced in Chennai in 2019 with 40 cars by AIADMK and the DMK Government expanded that across the State under the name "Pink Patrol".

I wish the Singappen task force the very best but those spreading fake news as if this is the first time women are being involved in a special all women unit in TNPF need to be called out.

This is a classic PR rebranding of existing all women units by the #StickerModelGovernment

உண்மையின் முகம் இதுதான்: TNEB பதவி உயர்வு குளறுபடியும், TN DIPR-ன் பொய் பிம்பமும்!

தமிழ்நாடு மின்சார வாரியத்தில் (TNEB) 300 உதவி செயற்பொறியாளர்களுக்கு (AEE) பதவி உயர்வு வழங்கப்பட்டதை, தவெக அரசு "வரலாற்றில் முதன்முறை" என விளம்பரப்படுத்தி வருகிறது. ஆனால், இது திசைதிருப்பும் வேலை!

உண்மையின் பின்னணி இதோ:

நீண்டகாலப் போராட்டம்: 2000-2001 ஆம் ஆண்டுகளில் பணியில் சேர்ந்த உதவி பொறியாளர்களின் 'Seniority' விவகாரம், பல ஆண்டுகளாக நீதிமன்றத்தில் இருந்தது.

நீதிமன்றத் தீர்ப்பு: மார்ச் 11, 2026 அன்று உச்சநீதிமன்றம் அளித்த தீர்ப்பு, இந்த முட்டுக்கட்டையை உடைத்தது.

திமுக அரசின் அதிரடி: தீர்ப்பு வந்த மறுநாளே, மார்ச் 12, 2026 அன்று, அப்போதைய திமுக அரசு 416 உதவி செயற்பொறியாளர்களை (AEE) செயற்பொறியாளர் (EE) பதவி உயர்விற்குப் பரிசீலிக்கப் பட்டியலிட்டது.

இந்த 416 பேர் அடங்கிய அதிகாரப்பூர்வ ஆவணமே இதோ இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது!

இப்போது எழும் கேள்வி?

தேர்தல் நடத்தை விதிமுறைகளால் நிறுத்தி வைக்கப்பட்ட இந்த செயல்முறையை, தற்போது தவெக அரசு தொடர்ந்தது சரி. ஆனால், தகுதி வாய்ந்த 416 பேரில், ஏன் 300 பேருக்கு மட்டும் தற்போது பதவி உயர்வு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது?

மீதமுள்ள 116 AEE-களுக்கு என்ன ஆனது? அவர்கள் தகுதியற்றவர்களா? அல்லது அவர்களைப் பழிவாங்கும் நோக்கம் ஏதேனும் உள்ளதா?

செய்திகளைத் திரித்து, திரைப் பட விளம்பர நிறுவனம் போலச் செயல்படும் TN DIPR, இந்த 116 பேரின் நிலை குறித்து மௌனம் காப்பது ஏன்?

தகுதியுள்ள அனைவருக்கும் பதவி உயர்வு வழங்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதே பொறியாளர்களின் நியாயமான எதிர்பார்ப்பு. உண்மையை மறைத்து மாயை உருவாக்கும் முயற்சியை வன்மையாகக் கண்டிக்கிறோம்!

300 தான் அதிகமா என்றால் இல்லை 700 மேற்பட்ட பதவி உயர்வு வழங்கப்பட்ட வரலாறு உண்டு [28.01.2024 & 21.08.2025 G.O]

குறிப்பு:

மார்ச் 2026-ல் திமுக அரசு 416 பேர் கொண்ட பட்டியலை வெளியிட்டது.

தற்போது ஜூன் 6, 2026-ல் 300 பேருக்கு மட்டுமே பதவி உயர்வு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
