@GerrardDgenre Galactus was such a let down. He looked like a cosmic giant in space when portrayed in trailers but when he comes to earth, he is only a size of a building.
@BogdanGuskov Even in the face off, you bowed your head down and wouldn’t even look him in the eye like you were scared. I knew then that you already lost the fight.
🫡 Ilia Topuria surprised me with this statement at UFC 317 post-fight presser:
"I am not invincible. Quite the contrary. I feel that I'm beatable, and that's why I work so hard. I put so much dedication. And that's why I do the work that I do, and I don't want to leave anything out there. And the work is so well done that I feel that there's no doubt left.
And that's why I celebrate things the night before, because I feel that the victory is built and should be celebrated at the end of camp. Because I would not live with myself if I didn't put all the hard work out there. So I feel that that's what happens. I put so much hard work, and I deserve it."
This should be on a wall.
Stack up your cash, work on the body you want, explore cities that don’t speak your language, enjoy the people in your life, chase what excites you, and keep your peace close by.
this bit from the joe rogan episode with quentin tarantino and roger avary really resonated with me
tarantino shares how he lost sight of his dream in his 20s, and seeing a colleague hitting 30 made him realize his mistake. sharing for anyone who is feeling lost in their 20s:
@izzydoa_ Probably because the UFC is good at telling the story line of each fighter, in turn you get to know them and start to care about their fights.
In KB yeah it’s good violence but I don’t know enough about the fighter to care.
