Why is it that no one seems to think it’s important to teach their dogs the very basics of how to walk in a leash. I am so tired of being handed dogs to walk who don’t even understand the basics never mind dog that don’t pull. 😠

Did like everyone forget about Thanksgiving this year until this week???

I have had at least 10 requests for pet sitting for Thanksgiving or this weekend come in just THIS week (and it’s only Tues!).

I’ve been booked for well over a month for this weekend.

Love when I client says we might need more visits in a few weeks and you tell them “I’m really swamped, you need to let me know asap.” and then they wait until only a few days before they need to more than double their visits to ask you. So helpful. 😒

I hate reading potential client profiles that include:

“Exuberant on leash”
Separation anxiety
Home destruction
Skittish with strangers
Needs to go out ~8x/day

I’m a pet sitter not a miracle worker.

It drives me nuts that the only other #dogwalker I ever come across while walking dogs is a complete moron who doesn’t bother to leash the dogs she is walking even when other on leash dogs come down the trail. AND she lets them swim in this very tiny disgusting pond. Ugh! 😣

😂😂😂 Yeah, good luck getting someone to pet sit your small farm for less than the $55-65/day I quoted you. Even when I was doing it 20 years ago as a teenager I was getting paid $40/day. #Bye 👋

Dear Veterinary Hospitals,

Refusing to approved RX requests from places like Chewy for your clients is not going to bring business in. It’s going to drive clients away.

My first reaction to this new policy at my vets was...”This is a huge inconvenience should I switch vets?”

Love when a client books midday walks while she is away and hubby is home watching the dogs. She specifically said she needed midday b/c he’d be at work...turns out he is home most of the day and she just wanted that time frame...thanks for wasting my busiest time of the day....

Love when clients NEVER read their email report cards from my visits and instead ask me if I came...like yes! Of course I came and I informed you of that already and even sent you a cute photo of our walk!....along with time stamps and a gps route of the path we took 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

So my town has regular “small business” events...and I’m all like “Oh! This could be good for business 🤷🏻‍♀️ but also I don’t want to associate with 80% of the people in my very pro-tRump town.”

@psa2 Yeah, that’s a good plan. Luckily I only agreed to two weeks of midday visits. They are actually just outside of my territory and I normally don’t care when it’s just once a day cat care but I can’t do dogs that far away on a regular basis.

When your client who can barely handle the care for their cats informs you they are getting a puppy...and to top it off a breed that really needs experienced owners.
