The Dlamini family is desperately searching for their loved one, 36-year-old Vumani Mandlakapheli Dlamini, who has been missing since 15 April 2026.
According to the family, Vumani had gone to Orange Farm earlier that day and later made his way back.
The last time they heard from him was around 17:30, when he said he was heading home via Southgate Mall, where he withdrew money.
He then took a taxi to the Bara taxi rank, as he was travelling back to his residence in New Canada.
Since that moment, his cellphone switched off, and there has been no trace of him.
Vumani was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers. He was also carrying a black sling bag.
His brother, Nyameko Dlamini, says the family has searched extensively for him, visiting government mortuaries and public hospitals, but has found no leads.
A missing persons case has been opened at the Orlando Police Station.
The family, who travelled from Mzimkhulu in KwaZulu-Natal to Johannesburg to assist in the search alongside relatives based in the city, say the situation has been incredibly difficult.
The family says, they are deeply concerned about his safety and well-being, not knowing where he is or whether he has had anything to eat.
They are now appealing to anyone who may have information about Vumani’s whereabouts to come forward and report it to the nearest police station.
