Unrelated but kinda related:
In the latest season of Lupin, there's a scene where he collaborates with his mother to execute one of his intricate scams.
What struck me was his comment when she expressed concern about appearing suspicious. He implied that once a woman, especially if she is black, reaches a certain age, she becomes practically invisible in society. She could commit the most heinous of crimes and likely go unnoticed because she's seen as inconsequential.
